About Me

I am just a T### from EK,Scotland. Interested in most sports. Like to take photos of scenery in Scotland. Well they tend to be of golf courses, mostly ones on which I haven't even played.Would love to move to Florida. Don't listen to anything buttonsforbrains has to say on Florida though. I feel that working with so many oddities over the years has given me the knowledge to assist those with any work or domestic problem. With this in mind please look at the July archive and check out problems solved by myself. I try to laugh about life and what life can throw up. Just enjoy the blog for what it can offer you. Hopefully it can give you a laugh. I hope I dont upset anyone plus some of the stories may be slightly untrue. Since joining blogland I have also discovered a talented group of crafty girls. Listen to my music links and enjoy my varied taste.

Benched with the Bugsies

This is a new feature which will enable you to share any childhood experiences that may have caused you distress to this day.
I will start with a story from L from Strathaven.
L was 5ft 9 at age 11 and stick thin. It was the school dance and the boys choice. L was not picked to dance and was left on the sidelines with the bugsy girls. Even worse to follow when she had to dance with the bugsies.

I was in a similar position as L. School dance and I was talking to my friends when they told me the hottest guy in school was coming. I almost wet myself with anticipation when he approached from behind. Yes, he tapped my shoulder and turned to face him. His response when I faced him was "oh forget it".
I am still single but have the courage to take the bag of my head at weekends now.

I was a 13 yr old girl and felt bad enough that my Dad had made me get a bob hair style.
One day I was cycling past some teenage girls hanging about and heard them wolf whistle and shout "nice arse". To this day I cannot look at bottoms without remembering what happened to me.

Great feature. I am so glad I can share this with the WWW.
I was in class getting the "girls sex talk" and sitting in the front row.
All was fine until the graphic pictures were shown.
I fainted.
To this day I am still liable to faint at the sight of blood and gooey things.

I went on a blind date with my 14 year old friend. We met up with the girls and they went off for a quick chat. They came back and said they were both only interested in my friend. I headed home with my head hanging in shame.

Every time I hear Candle in the Wind I blush bright red. I can say no more on the subject.

If you are a dog lover, look away. I was 4 and was at Ardrossan beach for a family day out.
A very large dog attacked a small dog on the beach.
The wee dog was ripped to shreads. So much so that the owner had to quickly put it out of its misery by drowning it in the sea.
I can still hear the sounds of violence and crys of heartbreak to this day.
I have always lived in fear of dogs.

Not as ditressing as Trish I'm glad.
I was taken my my gran to see Cliff many years ago when I was not even a teenager.
The Shadows played a bit then Cliff came on. Girls all around started screaming and I joined in.
Gran was appalled by this and dragged me out by the hair.
I hate Cliff.

I was just a small boy having some personal time at the side of the road playing with my marbles.
Next moment a brick hit me full in the face. I didn't have time to get my hands up to protect my face. My marbles were more important.
I still have a scar but have never played with my marbles since then.

Halloween is a traumatic time for me. Ever since I was 7 and went out dressed as Yogi Bear. My friend was dressed as Boo Boo and we had been wandering a safe district of EK called The Wessie.
Boo Boo popped home for a poo poo and I was left guarding the hamper basket. Out of the night came 3 himshies (local gang) and nicked the hamper. I was pushed into a hedge and due to the heavy padding of the Yogi suit, I couldn't get up. I must have been stuck in the bush for a full 5 minutes before Boo Boo had finished his poo poo and got me out.
I hate Halloween and having my face in a bush.

I tell my friends that a cut on my ear was caused by me walking into a tree branch when I was about 10.
It wasn't a branch it was a giant sherbet straw which I had just got from the icy van.
I was running back to the house when I noticed blood streaming down my nack.
I had sliced it open with the sherbet straw.
A trip to the hospital followed and that's when the branch story came out.
I was bandaged up and got a free MacDonalds from a young crew member who felt sorry for me.
Dense as fog.

Follow up from C in Hamilton. I met the hot guy only last week at the gym. This time I was hot. He is now 38 and the worse for drugs. He gave me the nod. My paper bag may be off for good. What he only finds me attractive now he is on drugs? The bag's back on.

What a lot of sad events. I was made fun of because of my unusual talent. It was the days of free school milk and you were given a carton every day. I was able to drink all the milk through my nose.

Another pet based story so if offended please look away now. My dear mother hated my "Terry" so much, she kicked him down the drain in front of my eyes, with the words of "he is dying anyway".

I have just found out children did not just get pretty paper for Christmas. To this day I still enjoy handing out gifts of paper in the form of P45s.
Oh how I detest that TG.
